Breakfast at the hotel. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, begin your exploration of Ho Chi Minh City with a half-day city tour. Start with a walk along Dong Khoi Street, a bustling area filled with colonial-style buildings, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich architectural history. Continue your journey to the Reunification Palace (Independence Palace), a landmark symbolizing Vietnam’s historical turning point. Then, visit the War Remnants Museum, where you’ll gain an emotional and insightful perspective on the Vietnam War through exhibits and displays that reflect the experiences of the people involved. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, travel to the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a fascinating underground network used by Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Upon arrival, a knowledgeable guide will provide you with a detailed history of the tunnels, explaining their crucial role in the war. You’ll explore sections of the tunnels, including living spaces, kitchens, storage areas, and even underground hospitals, while learning about the resourcefulness and ingenuity of the soldiers who used them. The tour also includes an opportunity to view various traps and camouflage techniques, which were key in helping the soldiers avoid detection. You can also choose to experience a shooting range (optional). Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Have breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by private vehicle to Ben Tre. 10:00 Arrive at meeting point, meet with your local guide and take a short walk through a local village to enjoy the landscape of local houses and gardens. Upon reaching the local pier board your day cruiser. Enjoy the river views as you cruise through the smaller tributaries of Ben Tre province (cruise time approx. 30 minutes). Dock at “Bao Island” and disembark your Mango Cruise to visit Coconut Garden and drink fresh coconut at here. Return to your cruise and head down the river to another visit - a local coconut processing operation. From here, you will start a Bicycle trip around Huu Dinh village (approx. 4 kilometers). Then you will stop at a brick-making factory, where the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to make bricks by hand. After your visit, Mango Cruises will transfer you to the other side of the river to take a rowing sampan. Our team will paddle you through the maze of small canals to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of Ben Tre province. After about 15 minutes, we will arrive at the local house of Mrs. Huong. Her family lives on fishing, shrimp trapping and farming. Enjoy the tropical fruits and honey tea in her garden before getting on a tri-motor cycle (xe loi). Enjoy the narrow village roads that navigate through the lush greenery and coconut palm trees. After finishing the Xe Loi ride, return to your day cruiser as we will take you to Mango Home Restaurant to enjoy your 5-course lunch. After your lunch, freshen up before switching to a bicycle and riding 500m (approx. 4 minutes or 7-10 minutes’ walk) on village roads past green gardens and local houses. First is Mr. Ba Tài’s house to can learn the fascinating process of rice wine making. Lastly, a memorable visit to Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Today, he and his wife live on making rice paper, which is the most famous specialty of My Long village. Have a chat with him and enjoy the crispy rice paper made by his wife and see how it is made. Return to Mango Home, Perhaps it is time to enjoy the swimming pool or relax at one of the nice sitting areas. Have dinner at Mango Home Restaurant. Overnight will be spent in the Mango Home Riverside.

For our guests who wish to see more of our area, we can provide a map and bicycle for self-exploration. At 12:00pm, it will be time to check out of the room and enjoy a set menu lunch. After your lunch, a private car will take you Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, transfer to the hotel, check-in and night in Can Tho.

Start your day early with a scenic boat trip to the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most famous market in the Mekong Delta. Watch as local vendors trade directly from boat to boat, offering an array of tropical fruits and other goods in a lively river-based marketplace. After soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, visit a local rice noodle workshop where you’ll see the traditional process of making rice noodles, a staple in Vietnamese cuisine. Head to Chau Doc, visit the Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary, which offers travelers a peaceful escape into nature, where they can observe thousands of storks in their natural habitat. Visitors can climb the watchtower for panoramic views of the bird-filled treetops, witness the stunning scene of storks returning at sunset, and enjoy birdwatching and photography in a tranquil countryside setting.
